The purpose of this seminar is to examine current issues in American higher education.  This seminar is being offered as an elective in the Ph.D. Program in Urban Education at the CUNY Graduate Center.  Drs. Goldstein and Picciano will lead discussions that examine the writings of current thinkers on a variety of topics such as the purpose of higher education, funding, governance, assessment, and technology.
